Polycarbonate Lenses
Polycarbonate lenses are thinner and lighter than regular plastic lenses. They offer 100% UV protection and are impact resistant. Polycarbonate lenses are ideal for children, sports glasses, and safety eyewear. Eye doctors highly recommend this lens material for everyone.
Lined Bifocal (Flat-top)
Bifocals are with two prescriptions, one for distance and one for near vision
separated by a visible line. A small portion at the bottom in the shape of a
half moon, also called a flat-top, is for reading or to see things up close. The remaining part of the lens is for distance viewing.
Hi Index Lenses
This premium material is the thinnest and lightest product available for high
prescriptions. If you have thicker lenses, Hi Index lenses can make your prescription cosmetically attractive. Anti Reflective coating is a perfect partner for hi index lenses as it eliminates lens reflection and makes the lenses appear even thinner.
Progressive Lenses ( No- Line Bifocals)
Progressive lenses are a multi-focal lens with no visible line that provides clarity at all distances, including intermediate ranges. Lined Bifocal lenses have only two powers, near and distance. Objects in between like computer screens or the dashboard of your car, often remain blurry with lined bifocals. Progressive lenses provide a smooth seamless progression of many lens power for all viewing distances. Whether you’re driving, reading, or working on a computer, it’s everything you need in one lens.
Polarized Lenses
Polarized sunglasses are the best protection from exposure of
the suns harmful rays. Without proper protection you risk long term
problems including cataracts and macular degeneration. Sunlight
also reflects off of surfaces like smooth water and roads causing horizontal glare. Polarized lenses reduce annoying and sometimes dangerous glare while blocking 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays. Polarized lenses are ideal for outdoor activities including golf, boating, and driving.
Transitions Lenses
Transition lenses give you the benefit of clear lenses indoors and at night plus the advantages of a sunglass tint outdoors. They rapidly darken outside when exposed to sunlight and fade back to clear when you return inside. Transition lenses block 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays. Transitions are available in gray or brown tints.
Anti-Reflective Coatings (AR coating)
Anti-reflective coatings reduce disturbing reflections on
your lenses. The reflections from headlights, taillights and street lights are virtually eliminated. AR coatings reduce reflections from florescent lighting, and computers that cause eye strain and eye fatigue. AR gets rid of the reflections on your lens that others see making them appear thin or non existent. An AR coating will enhance your vision allowing you to see more clearly.
